#1 Joint-FX capsules: 2 capsules twice daily Joint-FX capsules include four herbs which decrease inflammation in the body: Feverfew: inhibits the body’s inflammatory hormones Boswellia Serratta (frankincense): inhibits inflammatory hormones, aids in cartilage regeneration and improves blood supply to joint tissues. Bromelain: inhibits inflammatory hormones, helps rid the body of scar tissue and dead and damaged tissue. White Willlow Bark: a small amount of ‘natural aspirin’ for pain and inflammation. Joint-FX also includes glucosamine and chondroitin, which have been used together to regenerate cartilage and improve the ‘shock-absorption’ needed in our joints. #2 PureOmegaPlus or 900: 3 capsules daily for one week; then 1-2 capsules per day. While the advent of ‘low-fat’ diets and foods has decreased the amount of fat in the standard American diet, we still consume too many Omega-6 fats: vegetable oils, trans fats and animal fats. Omega-6 fats can encourage the formation of inflammatory hormones such as thromboxanes and leukotrienes. While moderate amounts of Omega-6 fats are necessary, our bodies need more Omega-3 fats---which are anti-inflammatory—than most of us consume. Omega-3 fats are found in cold-water fish, green leafy vegetables, seeds, nuts, olive oil and flax seed oil.
